I was born and brought up in a gulf country, Kuwait. Later, I went to the United States for my education to gain a bachelor degree in Engineering and a master degree in Engineering management. Later I came back to live in my home country, Lebanon where I taught at the American University of Beirut. During my childhood and upbringing, I remember I used to love to stitch, to sew, and to embroider. I had an eye for beautiful handicrafts. I used to attend many art exhibitions which enlightened my vision. After completion of my studies in the engineering stream, I chose to continue what I loved as a child. My career in Artisanat began smoothly after my marriage where I used to hire people working in my home to sew and embroider fabrics and towels. Little by little, I grabbed the right opportunity and founded Hana trading Company in 1993, a company that has been promoting Artisanat (handmade) articles produced by cottage industries which are sold at NOUR shops spread all over Lebanon, Nour products were exhibited in several countries in the Arabian gulf, Europe and even Mexico. It has been always my Moto to design and fabricate Lebanese handicrafts. My background sure helped me to be able to mix and match both east and west cultures. Our group is specialized in handmade fabrics and Abayas. Our artisans are men are women. Furthermore, the company exhibits its products in several countries in the world. Simply, these articles are created by the design department of Hana trading company that blends both the eastern and western cultures to bring out an exquisite product to sell exclusively at NOUR shops. ولدت وترعرعت في الكويت ومنها انتقلت إلى أميركا لمتابعة دراستي الجامعية حيث تخصصت في مجال الهندسة وإدارتها، بعد حيازتي شهادة الدراسات العليا عدت إلى بلدي الأم لبنان حيث عملت في حفل التدريس في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت. خلال طفولتي وحداثتي، كنت أعشق الخياطة والتطريز، وكانت تستهويني الأعمال الحرفية فأزور المعارض الفنية والحرّفية المختلفة. عندما أنهيت دراستي الجامعية في حقل الهندسة إخترت أن أهتم بما كان يستهويني منذ صغري. بدأت العمل الفعلي في مجال الأرتيزانا بعد زواجي حيث بدأت أستخدم أشخاصاً للعمل معي في المنزل في تطريز وتخريم الأقمشة والمناشف. وشيئاً فشيئاً إغتنمت الفرص المتاحة حتى تمكنت من تأسيس في العام 1993 من تأسيس "مؤسسة هنا التجارية" التي توّلت تسويق المنتجات الحرفية التي أسميناها "نور" وكانت تباع في محلاتنا في لبنان وبلدان مختلفة من الخليج العربي إلى اوروبا وحتى في المكسيك. ساعدنا في ترويج المنتجات فرادتها حيث كانت تجمع روحيّ الشرق والغرب. حرفيّو "نور" هم من الرجال والنساء، ونحن متخصصون في الأشغال الحرفيّة والعباءات. السيرة الذاتية
